본 연구는 ChatGPT와 Midjourney를 활용한 생성형 AI 기반 디자인 검증 및 평가 방법론을 제안하여 디자인 프로세스의 객관성과 효율성을 향상시키고자 한다. 현재 생성형 AI는 주로 디자인 초기 단계에서 활용되지만, 본 연구는 최종 디자인 결과물의 검증 과정에서 AI를 적용하는 방안을 탐구하였다. 이미지 생성형 AI의 Image-to-Text 툴을 활용하여 디자인 이미지에서 텍스트 프롬프트를 추출한 후, 이를 기존 디자인 설명과 비교하여 조형적 유사성을 평가하는 방법을 제시한다. 평가 항목은 콘셉트, 스타일, 형태, 구성, 색상, 질감의 6가지로 구성되며, 각 항목별 가중치를 설정하여 정량적 분석을 수행한다. 본 연구는 생성형 AI를 활용한 디자인 검증 프로세스를 정립함으로써 디자인 결과물의 객관성을 높이고 다양한 디자인 분야에서 적용 가능성을 확대하는 데 기여한다. 이를 통해 디자인 의사결정의 신뢰성을 강화하고, 시장 성공 가능성을 높이는 것을 목표로 한다.
This study proposes a generative AI–based design verification method using ChatGPT and Midjourney to enhance objectivity and efficiency in the design process. By applying AI to the evaluation stage, design images are converted into text prompts and compared with original descriptions to assess aesthetic similarity across six weighted criteria—concept, style, form, composition, color, and texture—supporting reliable, data-driven design decisions.
